Η ομάδα Alt +Ctrl + Del διοργανώνει φεστιβάλ animation και video art στη Μυτιλήνη, με έργα που θα προβληθούν αποκλειστικά στο δημόσιο χώρο. Η κίνηση αυτή έχει ως σκοπό τον επαναπροσδιορισμό του δημόσιου χώρου σαν έννοια, αλλά και τη δημιουργία διαλόγου με το ευρύτερο κοινό, μέσα από σύγχρονες μορφές τέχνης. Οι καλλιτέχνες που θέλουν να συμμετάσχουν στο φεστιβάλ θα πρέπει να αποστείλουν τα έργα τους, το αργότερο μέχρι τις 31 Αυγούστου 2009.

the idea

The idea of moving frames Festival in the island of Lesvos and in Mitilini, was concretely created on one side by the need for communication through the modern forms of art and on the other hand, from the need for the exploitation of urban space of Mitilini. The festival will be realised in the heart of city, as well as in public spaces that tend to lose their public character. From the moment where the public space is a active space and continuously hence also live considered that it constitutes simultaneously also the more suitable exhibition space. From the moment where the video is manufactured by moving pictures, we considered that it constitutes the motive spark for our call. From the moment of where walking of residents in the public space is a continuous movement, we considered that it can develop in a new materialisation of facing digital means. The so called modern public space is constituted in final analysis, by pieces of private interest or advertising and commercial projection. On this thoughtful and contrary to the flood and the distortion of space exclusively from the publicity, we make a call in authors of digital videos, animation, digital art, experimental video, so to expose their work in the street and no in concrete closed building. We have aim to reoccupy points of daily public space, walls, doors, columns, abandoned buildings and bring to discussion the works with the passing resident. We aim in the accidental meeting of passerby with the work but also in the discovery of work and consequently the space from the passerby.
